Hi there!

I installed GBPVR yesterday, and am very pleased with it so far. I just have a couple of questions.

Is there any way of starting (or queueing up) a recording from the command line?

Is there a way of importing recordings (.avi's) I've made using another PVR program (Showshifter) into the Recordings database? Is that the same as Rectracker? Am I right in thinking that Rectracker keeps a database of all recordings so as to avoid duplicates, and if so, can I import my previous recordings into it, to avoid recording stuff I've already got?

And lastly - is there a way to assign/search on categories (drama, film etc) in GBPVR ( I haven't got round to installing/playing with plugins yet, and the answer to this may very well be there...)

Thanks in advance for your help!

Just bumping this back up to the top to see if anybody can help...

PS sorted the 'film search' query - web admin does the job nicely.

Thanks!

Not that I'm aware of

I think your best bet would be to copy your recordings accross and then manually add entries into the gbpvr database (gbpvr.mdb)

Depends on your epg, I believe Zap2It provides genre information but most sources do not.

No problem - not sure how helpful I've been though, I'm sure others will chime in if they have any better solutions or suggestions

Regarding importing your recordings into GBPVR, if you are using Video Archive or XRecord (this is what I use), just registering the folders, automatically makes it available for GBPVR
