I have noticed if I leave the GBPVR on screen application open for a couple of days, when I try to play a recording the swap file goes crazy and I have to kill the program with task manager or wait up to 10 minutes for the video to start. Has anyone else noticed this? Also with the app open the HD seems to be accessed once every second even if I am only in the main menu doing nothing, is that normal?

I'm looking at my Task Manager right now and the application is growing by about 4KB a second memory useage. It's gained about 2 megs in just a couple of minutes, I'm going to check again in a few hours.

Ok, let me know how you get on. How do you view your OSD? XCard/MVP/PVR350/Overlay/VMR7/VMR9? All of these use different mechanism to render OSD. Its quite possible one of these has a memory leak.

I'm using the PVR-350 OSD with overlay mode and FFSHOW if available turned on (whatever that is). It started around 50mb of memory, after a few hours is was at 120mb.  I'm doing some more testing to see if the other display modes make a difference.

Ok I have verified it happens with the PVR350 display enabled, it happens in Overlay, VMR7 and VMR9 modes. If I choose software decoder as the display instead it does not leak memory at all.

Overlay, VMR7 & VMR9 aren't really used when the PVR350 hardware decoder is enabled, but its quite possible the PVR350 OSD code is leaking some memory. I'll try and leave it running when I have to go out later.

Were you able to reproduce this on your system?

No, but I'm not sure I was looking at the same thing as you.

How were you monitoring it (watching in task manager)?

What process were you looking at (GBPVR or Recording Service)?

What did you leave GB-PVR doing (LiveTV, main menu, playing video)?

I am looking at GBPVR.EXE in the task manager, it is running full screen on the PVR-350. It is in the main menu and doing nothing. The hard drive is being accessed every second or so and every time it does the memory useage goes up by 4kb. It's at 86MB right now and I've had it open about two hours.

Mine used about 70MB, and climbed up a bit higher (nearly 80MB), but eventually dropped back to about 70MB.
