I have slight problem that some of you may have expereinced here, and may have found the solution.

I have just installed another PVR-150 on my PC, so I have two tunner card. I have done normal setup in which I have setup both tunners, setup EPG for each one of them, and got the channel and program listings. Everything works, and problem appears when I want to watch through one tunner while other is recording.

I have tried several time last night while one tuner was recording Office, I tried to watch TV. I was able to change channel seveal times, but then it got stuck on one channel, and it won't go past that. I restarted GBPVR GUI, and same results. It comes back to the same channel. I went to Program Listing, and tried to change. OSD shows it is on the different channel, but picture shows the same channel.

Another funny thing is that while this thing gets stuck on the one cable, tunner which is recording "Office" skips recording, and start recording anything at random.

I have had that happened couple of times in which picture gets stuck on one channel while one tunner is recording, and tunner skips what it suppose to record, and starts recording something at random.

Any ideas? It can't be PC related since it is Athlon64 with 1 Gig RAM, separate two TV tunners, and a MX4000 Graphics card. I do have firewire harddrive which is the destination for the recording.

Did you setup the two tuners as Capture Device #1 and #2?
Sorry if I ask the obvious but it does seem like you have both set to the same #.

Yes, I did set them both as Number 1 and Number 2, and kept the different names as well like Caputre -1 and Capture - 2.

It worked so well with single tuner, so I am at the point to remove 2nd tuner.

I thought someone did run into problem, and they set an options in config.xml like Autoendoerdetectoption = 0 from 2?

I am not sure what is that for, so I have not set that up. Rob

Its not a problem I'm familiar with. Post the logs next time it happens and I'll see if I can see anything.

Do both tuners have the same channel lineup?

Yes, they both have the same channel line up. I am configuring them as Interaface #1 and #2 in drop down menu.

Funny thing is that once I have installed 1st card in Interface #1, I can configure 2nd card on the Interface #1 as well without any errors. If I try to put them on Interface #3, it compalins. I was thinking that #1 and #2 does relate to the actual PCI Slot #, so I was looking for the appropriate PCI Slot number.

yes, I have set them on #1 and #2.

Does anyone has "howto" for correctly setting up dual tunner mode. If I get it working, I would not mind putting one for Wiki.

Yes, this is normal because you need to setup multiple capture sources for the same card if you need to use both the tuner and svideo/composite. It wont let you record on them both at the same time though. It uses the card name and number to decide they're infact the same card.

Its exactly the same as setting up a single tuner, you just need to make sure the device number is set appropriately for each capture source.

Ok. that makes sense. yes, it is setup correctly, and I will attach the log next time it happens.

Thanks again for your help. It is a great product, and thanks for everyone's hard work here.

Hmm. Maybe this is the source of one of my problems. I have one card that I have cable tv (via tuner in) and DirecTV (via composite in). I just checked and I have them both set to capture device #1. According to what I think you're saying, it should be set to capture device #1 and #2, right?

I have a second PVR150 that has only cable tv. This is currently set as device #2. I'm guessing I should have capture device #1 and #2 on the first card and capture device #3 on the cable only PVR150?
