Hi,

I have changed my O/S to win 2003 for my GBPVR Server. I am having a few problems.

1. The MVP keeps disconnecting when trying to play recordings and when trying to play web radio on MVP. Its disconnects right away
It plays MP3 music ok.

2. The only renedering seting that works is Overlay manager VMR9 says not supported and I installed Directx.

The MVP menu starts up ok.

On the PC when you play a video file its upside down.

Config:- Hauppauge 350 , Win 2003, 4 x MVP . Video decoder Cyberlink video/SP Decorder and also for audio.Ran BDA Mux checker but non installed.

Can anyone help please.Rolleyes

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your gbpvr.exe.log and I'll take a look.

What video card have you got? There are several requirements for features the card must provide before it'll be compatible with VMR.

Sorry, thats not a card I'm familiar with, so I dont know how it performs with VMR. All I can suggest is make sure you've got the latest drivers for your video card installed.

The log you've attached above only shows a MVP server waiting for its initial connection from an MVP. When the error occurs, you might need to post all your gbpvr.exe.log files (incl -1, -2 etc).

I have uploaded the last few lines off the log2 file you can see where the access to the file has been denyed mybe I have a permissions issue in win 2003

Yes, you're correct. It is a permissions thing. You could try changing the 'GB-PVR Recording Service' service to run under your account rather than the default localsystem account.

Hi Sub,

Changed GBPVR Recording services as suggested but still getting same problems with MVP dropping offline straight away when trying to play a video file and getting the same error in the log file. I will maybe install the hard drive into the server instead of trying to access it via a NAS Server on the network. I know this setup worked fine with XP but with Win2003 I seem to be having alot more problems. VMR9 dosen't work it says its not supported. I have updated all the latest drivers etc but still no joy.I installed directx 9c but when you look in the settings of the Nvidia drivers it says directx version is 3.

Nvidia Info. Processor Intel®Xeon CPU 3.06 .
OS Win Server 2003 SP1
Directx ver directx 3.

Grapics card Info .
Processor Quadro FX 1000 ,
Video Bios 4.30.20.16.04
Video memory 128mb
AGP 8x

Any ideas I 've run out.
Regards
