Hey Sub,

first thanks for another update. Hard work I know.

I had a couple of problems upgrading:

1) The Dscaler audio filter isn't listed in config.xml and had to be added manually (although I think I needed to do this before). The exact string is "DScaler Audio Decoder".

2) After install, the first time I tried to play back a file inside GBPVR caused the installer to launch(!), which seemed to install some on-demand component. However playback then worked fine and since, so not a problem, just weird?

3) As mentioned <snip> ignore this one, my DB was screwed (see this thread).

Other than that everything else seems to work so far.

Its not one I've ever tested, so it wasnt on the master list. I've added it for the next release.

Its probably not serious, but it would have added a message to the Windows Event Log to tell you why the Windows Installer ran.

Thanks, it's part of Dscaler5 and I've been using it forever without problems.

Yep, here are the 3 Application log entries:

I can tell you why you got this. Its basically just saying one of the files was missing, so it reinstalled it.

I get that Smile (programmer myself), only this was immediately after the upgrade install so I don't understand how the file could have gone missing

Sorry, I dont know. This problem has happened to occasional user over the last year (since I started using Windows Installer). It rights itself the first time you try to run the app, so isnt important enough to spend time looking into it.

Sure.

One more thing, the Dscaler5 video filter also isn't a supported DVD playback entry ("DScaler Mpeg2 Video Decoder"), but works fine - it's been decoding CSS for a few versions if that was the reason for not including it.

(... well, none of my DVDs are currently working right, non-responsive / lockups, something about the MS Navigator? I'll do a search...). found the patch, thanks.
