Can't play some MP3s

Hi,
I've only recently discovered this excellent prog but have been struggling to understand a problem playing MP3s .

I've finally narrowed it down to the fact if the MP3 has an ID3 tag with no embedded album cover picture it plays fine. If the file contains an ID3 tag with a picture, nothing happens when you select the file. The same happens with the Jukebox plugin as well.

The suspect MP3s work fine in Music Match and Windows Media Player displaying the album picture thumbnail in both.

Should these files work or am I missing something? I can send an example file if needed.

Just wondered if you got the sample file I sent you and if were you able to reproduce the problem.

To be quite honest, I cant remember. I remember trying it, but cant remember the outcome.

I've still got the file so I'll try it again.

edit: ooops, my bad di not finish reading your message.
Looks like that is correct: if your mp3 encodes special tags ...etc., then GB-PVR cannot play it..

I also have one file that does not play (the only file I downloaded from the web, but it works in regular players ...etc.) and it does not play in GB-PVR. My other mp3s are my personal CDs and I ripped them myself without any special tags or anything, and they play fine..

Sorry to be a pain but did you get chance to look at this problem again? I realy want to use GB-PVR but it's a big problem for me coz about 50% of my MP3s have embedded album cover pics in the ID3 tag (and that's 100s of files that I can't play via GB-PVR). I'm sure there must be others with this issue.
