Hi there,

I have a problem with my PVR-350 whereby the TV OUT output is marginally worse than the output of my Geforce MX440 card. It is slightly blurry, and looks likes its ghosting slightly. Any idea what I can do to fix this? It happens in both GB-PVR and SageTV. I am no where near the quality that my Telewest Digital Box puts out. I am using the composite on in and out, as well as PAL of course.

Thanks,

loiphin.

Have you searched shspvr forum at SHSPVR.com. This is a good place to find out more about the Hauppauge cards,

cheers,
Colin.

Colin,

I have been searching for a couple of days on loads of forums, including SHSPVR. Nothing found yet.

Thanks for taking the time to reply anyway [Image: biggrin.gif]

loiphin,

I've noticed the same problem. Seems to trail a ghostly image, especial characters in the foreground as they move through shot or turn their heads. I've not had time to try WinTV2000 to see if that does the same. But it doesn't seem so bad when viewed using a software decoder.

Incidently my setup seems simalar to yours, Telewest digital receiver, PVR 350 and of course GB-PVR.

Have you tired ticking a set of rabbit ears onto the card and see what sort of picture you get with an analogue signal?

Also, have you tried connecting up a vide player/dvd player to the s-video/composite in and again seeing what the picture quality is like?

What driver revisions are you using? I still think posting this on shspvr.com's forum will get you to a solution quicker - those guys know these cards pretty wellSmile

Cheers,

Hi there,

I found out the problem! It was a dodgy SCART splitter box that was causing the ghosting. Now the quality of the TV OUT is superb [Image: biggrin.gif] Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
