I installed gb-pvr last night with high hopes only to discover the title message when trying to view live TV. Unfortunately, I don't have a TV out. Is there any way to view live TV on *my* computer? And if there is, why isn't it prominently displayed in the configuration options?

Viewing live-TV works perfectly fine using WinTV2000 which came with my Hauppauge pvr-350

You've configured it to use the PVR350's hardware decoder. This hardware decoder on this device is physically wired to the tv out connector on the back of the PVR350. If you want to view it on your PC monitor, you'll need to set the hardware decoder setting to 'None - use software decoder'.

The same is true for WinTV2000, except it'll let you do software decoding on the PC at the same time as hardware decoding on the PVR350's tv out. With GB-PVR you'll have to choose one or the other.
