Hi Everyone...

I might be missing something... I tried searching but didnt see the answer to this..

I have a scheduled recording (could even be a season recording) ... and I am watching a different/and or same channel... dont realize that my gbpvr is scheduled to record, or more likely I fall asleep watching live tv...

I wake up the next day.. and find out that all the recordings failed...

Is there anyway to
1. Warn of upcoming scheduled recording, and if no reply go ahead and do what is necessary to record.

2. Warn of upcoming scheduled recording, and be able to cancel (continue watching my current show - possibly find that program on at another time, and record)

My DishNetwork DVR does this... and I was kinda shocked gbpvr with a base install, never even crossed my mind that it wouldnt..

My system - AMD64 3200+ XP/SP2 GBPVR 97.09 1GB DDR -160GB + 500gb Storage - PVR150/DishNetwork Dual Tuner (1 tuner dedicated to PVR150)

Thanks
-Tim

It'll usually just drop out of live tv when the recording is scheduled to start.

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs?

for whatever reason I was not able to make this work (fail) over the weekend.. but I think I need to try one more thing...

This happened when I was alreadying watching the channel... and happened to look at the guide and seen what was coming up... so I told the other shows to record from the popup guide while watching TV, and I never left live TV, just looked at the popup guide for red bars on the 4 consective shows... and fell asleep approx 5 minutes before they started... so I am going to try and duplicate this exactly... after deleting the logs.

I have seen this happen on a couple of occasions where I left the pvr in live tv mode, turned off the tv and went to bed, woke up in the morning and a recording that was scheduled to record at 2am failed. I figured it was just a small hiccup. It has been several days since this so I know I don't have the logs for it, but I will try to reproduce the problem and post my logs.

Edit: I had the DB in this archive as well but the forum would not let me upload the file with included (size I guess)
