Hi Sub! Welcome back! Glad the kids traveled well. That age can be tough.

Anyway, I am using the IR blaster from my PVR 150 to change channels on my cable box. I am stringing a cable from my box in the living room (lounge) to my PC in another room so I am using coax instead of s-vid. I have setup config to use cable to a fixed channel (3). Everything works great if I pick a channel through the guide. It will go to what ever channel the show is on that I pick. If I use the remote to change the channel, (through the MVP) the channel sets to channel 3, no matter what channel I pick. Any thoughts?

Cheers. We were probably a bit keen taking the kids on 8 hour flights, but they handled it much better than we expected.

Are you using the .exe channel changer with HaupBlast.exe, or something else?

I am using the .exe changer with HaupBlast.exe. I saw someone else on the forum a few days ago that seemed to have the same problem if I remember correctly.

I havnt read all the posts from recent days, so didnt see that one.

Can you reproduce the problem, then zip and attach your logs so I can take a look?

Kids are asleep, here are the logs. I started channel 101 at about 10:10 through the guide. Then I started channel 103 through the guide. Both worked. Then I input channel 122 with the remote and the blaster changed the box to channel 3 at about 10:12. The on screen display on the MVP gave me the information for channel 122.

Can you upgrade to the current v0.97.9 release, reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs again? I added a useful diagnostic message in this release, which isnt present in your older release.

I'm guessing its something to do with the repeated digits. "22" in the example above. Does the Hauppauge IR software let you correctly switch to channels with repeated digits?

Yes it will change to any channel, even double digits. It changes correctly to any channel if I do it through the tv guide, just not directly through the remote to the MVP. I tried it from the PC and it works both through the guide and directly through the key board.

I know the remote is working correctly because when you change the channel using number inputs, (123 OK) the on screen display guide pops up correctly saying 123 MTV bla bla bla. but the cable box gets flashed 003.

My logs are attached. Timeline is as follows, all inputs from MVP
7:45 started channel 125 "wake up call" from the tv guide- worked fine
7:46 - went back to the tv guide and started channel 131 DIY network-worked fine
7:47- pressed 123 (OK) on MVP remote. STB changed to channel 3, on screen GBPVR info display gave me information on channel 123
7:48 - pressed 124(OK) on MVP remote. STB changed to channel 3, on screen display gave me info for channel 124.

Hey Sub,

You can back burner this one for a while. I ended up going to composite cables instead of the coax for other reasons. I still think there is a bug in there, but you don't have to worry about it now just for me. Thanks
