UPDATED 1/7/06 - other issues have been solved and thanks to all for the help Smile:

So now my two problems:

1) Switching between channels causes a 1 second play, followed by a pause and a loss of signal sign. After that, nothing more. Signal strength and quality hang around 75% mark. A simple 'back and forward' fixes the problem. I thought it was only for different transponder channels, but actually they're all on the same one. Wouldn't normally be a problem, but these two are one of the most used channels

2) Audio on an entire channel group is 'chipmunk' style, in that it just plays really fast. The background sounds SEEM to be playing normally though at times, but the voices are always faster. Tried many diff codecs and what not, but to no avail. I THINK it may be playing normally on a different audio track. My proper receiver allows me to select audio tracks, i'm not sure if GBPVR does this, but if it does, it may solve my problem. I've done a serach of the forums but can't find any info on it.

By default, F7 is the Aspect Ration key.
Take a look under C:\program Files\devnz\gbpvr\keyMappings (or wherever you installed GB). It will give you all the info you need about key mappings.

One of the decoders are not compatible with VMR if you don't perform a registry tweaks. That could be your problem? Sorry to say, I can't remember more info now... I *think* it was the cyberlink decoder, but I could be wrong. Either switch to overlay and see if that helps (you can try that first), and then do a search in the forums for more information. Or wait for someone to tell you =)

Quote:1) OSD - i can't get OSD working at all, i haven't ticked any of the 'minimal osd' things. Basically i want an OSD when i change channels, to tell me the name of the channel, or at least the number.

2) Recording - Every time i hit 'record' on my remote, i get an error.. i will add the error msg in a moment, when i get it up again
Reproduce these problems individually then post the logs for each and I'll take a look.

stefan is correct, its almost certainly a decoder incompatibility which is stopping your OSD showing up. I should be able to spot this in the logs though.

Logs are in your "Program Files\devnz\gbpvr" folder (or wherever you installed it) - all log files have the .log extention.

hmm ok, will try to see what i can do.

Another problem i've noticed, but forgot to mention, i believe to be another codec issue of some sort:

A few satellite channels, the audio is sounding like a chipmunk. The picture is fine, but audio just goes really high pitch and fast.

Will post a log up in a moment Smile
