I get Audio but no video

Thread title explains it all, I instaleld this PVR software tonight and let me be the first to say it sounds and looks AMAZING! But when i go to watch live TV, I get the sound only and not the video. I can switch chennels and all, but no video.

Shuttle SK43G
512MB RAM
Hauppage PVR 250
Geforce 3 ti200

Another problem I am having is with the Hauppage remote software, whenever I try to start it, it says that It can not initialize the remote and immediately closes.

Yet another problem I am having is that when I try and scroll down on my menu, it gives me an error about parmeters being out of range and doenst met me scroll. Any idea's for all 3 of these problems?

You probably dont have an MPEG-2 decoder installed

That was it! But now my problem is that the video is EXTREMELY grainy and fuzzy.

My other problem is the remote, I fixed the thrid, any idea's?

are you using Intervideo or Cyberlink for your decoder?

I was using elec decoder, then I tried nvidia's, now I am using cyberlink's... they all show the exact same pic, and there is a line slowly moving through the video like its on the wrong refresh setting or something, but its on the right one.

Sounds like bad reception to me.

Check your cable, I had a bum s-video cable did that. Replaced the cable and all was good!

I tried a new cable, the old cable is picture perfect on the TV just hooked up fine. I ran a new cable just to rule it out, no such luck.

Can you try a different input on the TV?

Or a different output on the card? (composite instead of s-video etc...)
