I'm not to sure to put this thread in the MVP or the support section but since I'm using one (MVP) I'll start here.
When watching divx movies though the MVP using the HP software, it shows them just the way you would aspect. Sizes like 604x249 show black bars all around. So the divx is "untouched" in size/aspect ratio.
But..... when using GB-PVR these same avi's are stretched to full screen, aspect ratio all wrong. I didn't change settings on the TV, it's on a fixed format so no auto scaling etc.
If I'm not mistaken GB-PVR doesn't do any active scaling/resizing. It only triggers the player and steps out of the way. But why is it that my movies are all distorted when using GBPVR and not with the HP software?
As a workaround I've tried to letterbox the avi's and it's a solution but not one to my likings !
Anyone some thoughts on this one ?
