Today I recieved my tv walker ultra and it works. For some unknown reason, I only get O kb video files from this device when recording with GBPVR. It doesn't output O kb files in the TVR app. Should I use the same tvr capture resolutions and bitrates for GBPVR, or should I uninstall the tvr app? Are there any solutions?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll see if I can see anything obvious.

Or reinstall your current one. A fresh install of Windows and the TV Walker drivers my clear out whatever is causing the problem.

If you were going to buy anything new to try to solve this, you might be best to switch to a more common device like the Hauppauge ones.

Thanks.

The first problem I have with my pc is that it is plagued by memory and irq conflicts. My pc is from the late year 2002, it sucks badly! Everytime I plug in the walker ultra, it restarts the computer because the plextor convertx m402u is utilizing the same memory address the walker ultra wants to use. It may also be an irq conflict even though I'm kinda confused with why usb devices would have irq conflicts. I like the tv walker ultra's mpeg 2 quality, at 2mpbs and 720 x 480 it looks better than the hauppauge pvr 150 even at high motion scenes to me. And reinstalling windows xp alone is a horrendous, time consuming process, not to mention updating it along with other programs with a dial up internet connection.

Seems like the 2002 Microtel Pc will have to be put down this year or delegate it to serve as a client pc.

I had a few problems with a related device (TVWalker Mini), particularly with a file installed by the driver (remote.exe) and the TVR scheduler (which I removed). I no longer (try to) use it (although I haven't tried again since the .Net 2version of GBPVR).

That is some relavant info there. I encountered a "remote application has excountered a problem and need to close" prompt of madness when I tried to use the walker ultra with GBPVR. So according to your info, the lifeview walker app is responsible for all the mess that transpired. I'll attempt another installation hopefully. I wouldn't be too surprised if plextor and lifeview insidiously hid components in their products to conflict with each other.
