Cable + Terrestrial on RF

Another noob who couldn't find the answer among the many posts.

I distribute my terrestrial signals, and my cable signal around my house over a regular RF coaxial cable. I have GB-PVR setup at the moment to access the terrestrial channels only. However, I want to add the facility to record the cable shows on different channels ( e.g. Sky One, then MTV, then CBBC). I already have a USB UIRT to switch the channels when needed.

My issue, is how do I set up my PVR 350 so that it will change channels on the set top box for cable, but use the terrestrial signals for the other 5 channels (rather than engaging the set top box on a terrestrial channel) - all through one RF connection ? Or is my only option to set it up through the S video - a potential problem, given that my HTPC is 30 feet away from my set top box, and in another room ?

Forgive me if some of this is not accurate, but am a noob to this myself. It is my understanding that you set up a second capture source in GBPVR and in the settings for the capture source you set it's source to "Fixed Channel, External Tuner", set the channel that the cable is broadcast on your RF, set the options for the USBUIRT, and set up all the channel numbers in the EPG, I think that should be it.

When you say that I should set up the channels in the epg, which numbers should I use ? Do I use the channel numbers that my set top box uses ?

Then will the XMLTV downloads match the channels ( e.g. If I input 30 as the channel for Sky One, will Sky One automatically be matched up appropriately when I download from BLEB) ?

Yes, that is my understanding, my usbuirt arrived today, so will be testing on mine tomorrow.
