I'm new to GBPVR. I added a new BDA tuner Vbox ATSC tuner in the BDA file and the configurator recognized it as the only device detected. I used the Vbox DDT-150 as a guide. I'm using Zap2it and have all my local OTA digital stations configured. I also have no channel changer required selected. I have verified the tuner and capture names using DSFMgr.

When I click Map Digital Channels to EPG channels I get the "unable to start BDA device".

I've enclosed zipped error logs. Suggestions appreciated.

Thanks, Russ

ATSC cards have to manually setup following this procedure: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Confi...HDTVSource

I followed the instructions, but still get unable to start device. I also notice I cannot get the Recording and EPG source to save when I exit the configurator. I always have to re-enter them when I start it again.

I verified that the tuner and stations I entered in GBPVR work with WatchHDTV (Vbox doesn't have it's own app).

Zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

Where exactly do you get that? Clicking the live tv button in the GB-PVR? Remember, you dont need to click the 'map digital channels to EPG channels' button in the config app if you'd set it up manually like I described above.

If it was in the main GB-PVR app, then unfortunately you've not included the important logs, since it doesnt contain gbpvr.exe.log and gbpvr.exe-native.log

OK. In GB-PVR/Live TV, I get "Error: Index was outside the bounds of the array". I do get the TV Guide information. Here's all logs.

It strangely looks like your card type is not set correctly. Where this is normally shown in the logs, it is missing. I'd check in the config app that the correct card is selected in your capture source.

Usually people have a log message like "BDARecorder:::StartRecording(Fusion HDTV5 Lite,...". Yours says "BDARecorder:::StartRecording(,...".

Like I said earlier, when I exit the configurator, it seems my config is lost. If I go back into capture sources and look at my BDA Device configuration, it's back to the old default, Hauppuage Nova-S I believe. When I click show only devices detected, my entry is the only device type listed. I try to save by clicking OK as I back out of the configurator. But it never saves it.

Here is the entry I made in the BDA config file:

[V-Box Cat's Eye 150 (ATSC)]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=VBox TV Tuner (DTF8600 - ATSC)
FILTER_CAPTURE=VBox Bic951 Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

Let me know if there is something specific I can do.

Thanks

It may be related to the single quote character you've used in the card name. Try removing it.
