I've seen others with this problem in earlier versions. I'm running .97.13 and I have not had this problem in previous releases.

I have a recording that failed in Recordings (computer was off during the scheduled time). When I click delete in the program information box for the failed recording, it sits there maybe 5-10 seconds and then returns to the previous screen with the failed recording still listed. It will not go away! I can delete files in the "ready" state with no problem. I've restarted the service and computer many times and no success. Logs attached.

Something minor I noticed:
In the GB-PVR Configuration General window, the forum link is incorrect. The text is correct saying

Quote:Visit our website and online community forums at: http://forums.gbpvr.com
However, the underlined text "http://forums.gbpvr.com" is linked to "http://gbpvr.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi" and the page cannot be found.

Thanks

Hmm ... a few of us have also seen this is THIS release.

k.
[EDIT] I used SQLite Database Browser to manually delete the failed entries. Like Brian, it was the only way to remove them. Internally (within EWA), it wouldn't delete.

I used SQLiteSpy to manually delete the failed entries. It was the only way to remove them that I could find.

Thanks Brian & JK for the suggestions. I saw that thread but because of the subject line, skipped over it.

I might tinker around with SQLite to remove the failed programs. It's not really a huge issue right now, just wanted to put this out there.

You could try the attached patch - it should help.

FirstTeamOPS,

Please try the patch please please... you're probably the only one left with the problem that can see if it works. .. :-)
We've all gone and mangled the database, which I'm sure sub would rather we kept well away from ...

k.

sub, amazing. In one thread you write that you don't know what the problem is, and then about 1/2 later, out comes the patch... :-) awesome-ness.

Success! It worked instantly. Also made the system tray icon respond faster... donno if it's supposed to or not.

Here's what I did for future readers...
1. Stopped GB-PVR service
2. Closed system tray icon.
3. Copied file from the Zip file Sub attached into the GB-PVR directory (C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr).
4. Restarted service and started tray icon.

It just takes a bit of time to investigate things. Often I'll brush off the first post about a problem if a cause is not obvious to me (thinking its a one-off), but if other people same to have the same problem, then I take a closer look.
