Hi, I need a little more help please.

I've read other threads on MVP problems, I've two MVP's but only wish to use one at the moment, they are an "86002 REV D3A LOT4103" and a newer "86020 REV H3 LOT2106" this has the digital out connection.

I've installed the Hauppauge software from the CD marked Version 3.1 and disabled both services as recommended. The later H3 only works with the gbmvp dongle the D3A doesn't work at all with this software.

When the MVP boots the GBPVR does not fill the TV height fully, I've always had the size set to W 704, H 568, and the offsets set to 8 & 15, if I change the height or its offset in the config it doesn't change the position on the screen any more.

Most things seem to work but each time I try to watch a previously recorded program the MVP crashes.

Any ideas. All these problems seem to have started since I've upgraded to the latest version of GBPVR V97.13).

I've attached a log file, hope it's the right one.

Thanks

Tony

I dont recommend you use gbmvp.bin. It is only known to work with the D3A etc (or not your case), and it is not compatible with the new flash memory used in the H3 model. Try the newer 24023b dongle.bin that jksmurf is handing out in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=17617&page=6

If you set the MVPWidth=720 MVPHeight=480 (576 for PAL) MVPOffsetX=0 MVPOffsetY=0, then the MVP will produce the biggest picture it can. If its not filling the screen with these settings, then there is nothing you're going to be able to do about it short of tweaking some setting that might be available on your actual TV. Assuming it is filling your screen, then tweek the values to maximize the viewable portion (minimizing the overscan).

Thanks Sub

Used 24023b dongle from jksmurf and MVP booted immediatley. Have eventually managed to set MVP size back to my original 704x568 8 15 size and offsets but changing screen size in config caused MVP to NOT boot.

Thanks again

You must have used wrong values then, happened to me too. You might want to read up on this on the wiki:
http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugi...enPosition
AMD Athlon 64 3000, HDD: 80, 120, 200 GB, Hauppauge 350 + 150, MVP, Asus 6000L Laptop client, Asus X50sl client,
Fritz!box 7140 modem/router, GBPVR 1.3.7.

Well I thought I had it working with dongle 24023b but this morning I ended up re-installing GBPR and now I can't change setting in the config. I change a setting click ok and then if I open the config again it's as it was before.

Any body else had this problem?
