I did a quick search, so forgive me if this has been addressed elsewhere. I have upgraded to 97.13 and all seemed well. I was using it extensively for the first time today and noticed I no longer have the ability to search or skip using the bottons on the MCE remote. I have the version 2 of the remote but do not have the 4 color buttons along the bottom. These abilities worked fine with my previous setup so I am unsure of what changed. I have tested it playing music using the standard Music Library plugin that comes with GBPVR as well as video playback out of Video Library, again standard with GBPVR. I had this working fine before, have installed .Net 2.0 and only have another strange issue with it not able to play .m3u files with I will address in another thread, can anyone shed any light?

I'm using the MCE2005 remote on my main PC with v0.97.13, but havnt had any problems with this. While watching a video, if you press Ctrl-RightArrow on the keyboard, does skip work fo you?

I assume your remote type is still set to 'MCE'?

I have the remote type set to MCE, and if I use the keyboard shortcut you have described I can skip ahead in videos. My main concern really is with music, using the Skip button to move track to track or FWD to move ahead a bit...I could probably map keys with Girder and see if this changes stuff, but just odd that it would stop working with the latest release. Thanks for the input, I'll let you know if mapping keys with girder helps.

I'm having the same problem - I've been using the MCE remote since the IR input on my PVR 150 broke and made it impossible to use the Hauppauge remote, and aside from some buttons that inexplicably are not supported, I had no problems. However, I recently formatted my HD and installed the new version of GBPVR, and both the "skip" and the "back" buttons no longer register. I know they work because I'm using MCE, and they function just fine under the Microsoft utilities. This is particularly undesirable, because the keyboard for this PC is usually tucked away by order of my wife, and it's now impossible to exit the guide without it.

It's been months since I upgraded - more than likely early 2006 or late 2005. Was there a change in the code that would have made this happen? Any other ideas as to how to fix it? Unfortunately using the Hauppauge remote is not an option unless I buy a new card.

I had thought I had replied to this, but mapping of the keys in Girder ( which I already use to map teh "green" button to launch gbpvr and map the Recorded TV button to work as F7 ) so now all my keys works. The only gripe I have with Girder which is totally unrelated to GBPVR is every once and awhile when I boot up the computer I have to exit out of GBPVR and kill Girder and reload it. But that's not often as I only reboot once a week..if you want to go the girder route let me know and I and email my config file to you so you are ready to go.

I'd be interested in that config file for girder.

I recently did a rebuild of my PC with GBPVR 98.08 and have the exact same problem. The skip buttons on the remote no longer work.

Did any of you guys come up with the solution (other than Girder) ?
