So when I push the sleep button on my remote, the computer goes to sleep. When I go to turn the resume using GBPVR from stnadby, gbpvr crashes with the error message:

"gbpvr.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the incovience. If you were in the middle of something the information you were working on might be lost."

I then have to to close GBPVR with keybaord and mouse and manually restart it. How can I fix this?

Update: This is only a problem in timeshifting mode. When I turn time shifting off then the computer comes in and out of stand by just fine.

Nothing springs to mind.

If you zip and attach the logs, I'll see if there is any error message listed.

do you think is has something to do with the timeshifting not stopping properly or would that show up on the logs? could it be the MPEG2 decoder?

I've had another look at the logs, but sorry I still have no clues for you.

Pressing the stop/home/esc keys, stops timeshift mode.

More updates:

If GBPVR is in Timeshift mode and I push stop before i put it in standby then then it resumes ok. It must have something to do with the computer trying to suspend while it is recording. Could this be a problem if I try to put it in standby while it is recording something in the background?
