I am using a fresh install of version 97.13 of gbpvr and a ir200l to change channels on a motorola cable box. When I first turn on the PC and start up gbpvr I can select a program from the guide to watch without a problem. It changes to the proper channel and the tv starts playing.

The problem comes when I want to change channels. I exit LiveTV and go back to the guide to select another show, click watch and the program freezes. When I check task manager the gbpvr.exe process is using 100% cpu. After I kill the process and start gbpvr again and try to select another channel it freezes again.

If I reboot the PC I can once again change channels once or maybe twice without it freezing. I have tried the new NativeUtilities.dll posted on the forum but it didn't help.
All scheduled recordings I have tried have failed.
I have attached the log files.

Thanks,
Brian

See if setting the deinterlacing to 'encoder pass through' helps.

Unfortunately, that had no effect. It's still doing the same thing.

Any other suggestions?

If you set your capture source channel changer to 'none', does it still freeze?

By setting the channel changer to "none" the TV starts up fine.

I tried it 5 or 6 times without a problem except the channel doesn't change of course.

OK, so we know its something going wrong with the IR200L then.

Unfortunately I'm not really sure what to suggest. There are no settings you can tweak for the IR200L. It usually just works.

Well, thanks for the help anyway...

I guess i'll try formatting and reinstalling everything, something may have been messed up during the install.

Did you install the IR200L drivers? If so, you shouldnt have. There are some IR200L drivers on the net, but these are for using it as an IRDA device. These drivers get in the way when GB-PVR needs to use the IR200L.

No, I didn't install any drivers for the ir200l.
The only drivers I installed were for the PVR250. I installed the newest drivers from http://www.shspvr.com.
Is it possible that these drivers are interfering with the ir blaster?
