Hi all,
Thanks to sub for the great program.

I have finally managed to get my computer to wake up from hibernate and record, then go back to hibernate again. But I have to restart the computer to be able to watch the GBPVR on my TV. It will only show a black screen. What is wrong?

Are you using the PVR350 tv out? If so, a bug in the drivers of the PVR350 means the TV out doesnt function after waking from hibernate.

I did see some discussion on the sage forums about people working around this problem by running a utility at startup that restarts the PVR350 drivers. I'm not sure of the exact details.

Yes, I am using the PVR 350.
Thanks for the quick response. The program is working great now. How do I donate?

PS. Last night I was recording a show. The GBPVR created a folder and file, but the file was empty. What can cause an error like that?

Just click the white "donate" button at the top right of the page.

Best thing to do if this happen is send me all of the log files from c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr, and let me know what time you expected it to record and how long. You can email the logs to me at support@devnz.com.

Mikkel,
If you download devcon from microsoft (see this link and this post). You can restart the card manually or with a batch file.
Please note: if gbpvr is running, the recordingservice is recording or ir.exe is running, restart doesnot work without a restart. However, except from gbpvr, everything can be stopped and started via commandlines. So it can all be put in the same batchfile.

BIG question for me no is how to execute the batchfile as soon as the computer comes out of hibernation. Anyone any suggestions?

If you download devcon from microsoft (see this link and this post). You can restart the card manually or with a batch file.
I've created the following batch file I named "Restart_PVR.bat", and placed a shortcut in the GBPVR Start Menu. I put devcon.exe and this bat file in the gpbvr folder.

@echo off
echo Restart PVR-250/350 card after 'Standby' or 'Hibernate'.
echo Stop WinTV IR.exe
"C:\Program Files\WinTV\Ir.exe" /QUIT
echo.
echo Restart PVR-X50
Devcon restart "pci\ven_4444*"
echo.
echo NOTE! If reboot is required, exit all other uses of PVR-X50 and rerun.
echo.
Pause

I just run it before GBPVR after waking up from standby. I don't know of a way to automate it.

Wake.cmd is what you want to use. Check this thread about waking up after hibernation
