I hope this is in the right place and if not I can move the thread.

I recently installed gbpvr with my Angel USB tuner. It sets up fine in the configuration, however when I try to do live TV in the menu I get this error:
Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I looked in the error file but I could not understand much of what was said about the error. I hope this is enough info.

Thanks

I'm not that familiar with this Emuzed Angel device, but whatever definition is in direct.ini is not correct. Its looking for some Hauppauge components which is obviously not right.

I tried looking at the pin info in the direct.ini and I couldn't see any reference to that card. I tried deleting some of the entries that didn't seem useful, but either I got the same error or the tuner wasn't dectected. Am I missing something?

You have:

FILTER_TVAUDIO=Angel USB TvAudio

It should be:

FILTER_TV_AUDIO=Angel USB TvAudio

Thanks for the help! I can get to the live tv, but there is no video. The bar with the show information shows up, but the TV portion doesn't. I tried using Overlay, VMR7, VMR9 and the VMR9 custom and they all either show nothing or just the show information.

Do you have a video decoder installed?

Reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the gbpvr.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

Here is the log. I hope this is enough and if not let me know. Oh and I am using Elecard MPEG2 Video Decoder and I could also use the PowerDVD decoder.

I dont really know. The problem could be in a couple of areas.

- it could be something it doesnt like about this Angel device. Its not a common device, and I dont know if it works at all with GB-PVR.

- it might just be something going wrong with the video decoder. I'd try the PowerDVD Cyberlink decoder to see if it makes any difference.
