Hey,

Just installed the latest version.
I get following message :
Application has generated an exception that couldn't be handled.
Process id=0xb30 (2864), Thread id=0xd8 (216)

What does that mean ?
I run XP and .NET 1.1 is installed.

Thanks.

What PVR board do you have. Did you configure to use PVR350 hardware decoder on a PVR 250?

There are log files generated in the directory where gbpvr gets installed. Take a look at those or post them for hints as to what is happening,

Cheers,

Hello

I think I have the same sort of problem as "be35926"......

When I start Config.exe:
Application has generated an exception that couldn't be handled.
Process id=0xb30 (2864), Thread id=0xd8 (216)

And when I start GBPVR.exe:
Application has generated an exception that couldn't be handled.
Process id=0xc08 (3080), Thread id=0xbec (3052)

I'm running Fujitsu-Siemens Silverline 1400 MHz
XP Pro Swedish, .NET 1.1 English and PVR-350
I also try to install .NET in Swedish, but it does'nt matter....

There is no useful info in the logfiles...just this row:
2004-01-10 09:26:01.229 INFO [2] Starting

I noticed that GB-PVR Configuration don't starts automatically as the last step of the Installation Wizard.

any idéas... [Image: smile.gif]

Skipper, is the application on the c: drive? At the moment there is a dependency on the application being installed in c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr. I'm fairly sure this is what is happening for you.

Its not ideal, and my list of things to change.

Hi sub

All my applications are in C:, but I don't have any directory named program files, it's just named program...... [Image: rock.gif]

It's that because I have XP Pro on Swedish language..?

Hi,

I indeed have the same errors then Skipper when I start the application and Yes, I never install programs under c:\.

Is it solved by moving the directory under c:\program files instead of re-installing ?
Problem is that I have configured XP to install all programs under another drive and I don't want to change it.

Regards,
Jos.

skipper and be35926, you should be able to move it. Give it a go. Create directory "c:\program files\devnz" and move the gbpvr directory into it. Let us know how you get on.

be35926,

Just curious, how do you configure XP to install programs on a drive other than C:\ permanently?

Cheers,
andy

Hmmmm....Sorry....
It's not over yet [Image: sad.gif]

UI looks fine, but I got a lot of errors.....
I suppose that there is a lot of registery keys witch expect that th applikation is under "C:\program\devnz" where it's installed for the first time....right ??

Where can I change the parmeter where Windows will istall programs. I will change it from "C:\program" to C:\program files" [Image: rock.gif]

regards
Uffe
