There is no built in functionality to record to DVD.

I think a couple of the plugins offer this feature, otherwise you can use the .mpg files recorded by GB-PVR with whatever DVD authoring software of your choice.

Is there a way that you can record directly to a dvd instead of the hard drive?

No. There is no built in support for burning DVDs.

If I were to hook up my composite video and rca out jacks on my prv150 cme card and piped them into the corresponding in jacks on my standalone (non computer based DVD Burner) while playing a program that I taped on my hard drive...would I get a DVD recording that was full size? Can this be done or I am barking up the wrong tree?

So say I taped the Sopranos on my GBPVR....and I wanted to make a DVD of it....could I just press play on my computer and record on standalone DVD burner and end up 60 minutes later with a dvd of the Sopranos? What would the quality be like?

The PVR150 doesnt have any outputs. These RCA connectors are inputs.

As I said above, there are some plugins that make it easy for you to do what you want. I dont use them myself though, so cant give you much info on them.

my videos from reven can do that. it converts, adds menus and chapters and burns the whole thing on a dvd (if it fit's Wink). it doesn't record directly to dvd though.

The PVR150 doesnt have a video out. The only Hauppauge card with a video out is the PVR350.

BTW...my thinking is that it takes a lot of processor power (and time) to convert an mpeg stream to dvd format....if an external piece of hardware can do it (ie standalone DVD burner) wouldn't that work with less pressure on the computers resources?
