Hi, I've been working on setting up a HDTV for the last 3 weeks. I have everything working great under 0.98.8 and an analog tuner. My goal was to get everything perfect, then attempt the digital cable box for the final step. I didn't want to mess with Grinder and USB-UIRT right out of the gate. Anyway.

I'm using the PVR-350 to capture at a high bit rate = constant 8,000kb (still tweaking this part).

I then use NVIDIA Purevideo to playback via the GEFORCE 7300 GS using VMR9 Custom Rendering.
Video Decoder: NVIDIA Video Rendering
Audio Decoder: NVIDIA Audio Rendering
Audio Render: DirectX

The only issue I have left to resolve before attacking a digital input signal is that when I'm playing something back and I use the FFWD (not skip) I lose sound completely. I have to stop the video, and restart it to get sound back. If I skip ahead - no problem If I press Pause and unPause - No problem. The minute I Press FFWD or REW and I lose all sound doesn't matter if it is live tv (timeslipped) or a recorded file.

I've cycled through all the Audio Codec and Rendering combos. No luck. Any suggestions? Chris

FFWD/REW is a problem area for many people. Many decoders can't handle it very well. Most people (at least the ones having problems with FFWD/REW) set gbpvr to use "short skip" instead. Works pretty well, and you can set how many seconds it should skip.
I'm not always right
