We've run into this problem a number of times now and can't narrow down the reason... does anyone have a problem with recording a 2-3 hour show that your computer thinks is considerably shorter? Sometimes it sees them as 10 minutes, sometimes 30. This does not happen all the time and there doesn't seem to be a pattern. The entirety of the movie is always there (according to file size and random skipping around) but the skip buttons are always way out of whack. It's very annoying. I'm having a hard time clearly explaining this, I think...

Sorry, I dont know. Lots of people have problems with audio on PVR150's.

There are some users that need to briefly start the Hauppauge WinTV software to get it to start producing sound. This isnt a GB-PVR bug, but rather a Hauppauge bug where the PVR150 isnt being initialized correctly at boot up.

just downloaded the drivers from hauppauge and its working again...

in an unrelated issue, i think that i yanked on the ir cord to hard the other day and broke it somehow because the remote doesn't work at all anymore. (for a brief time it was working if i pushed the lug in VERY hard) do you know if i can buy a replacement IR sensor anywhere or do I simply have to buy an entirely new remote package? is the hauppauge remote compatible with some sort of after-market usb ir sensor?

Just call Hauppauge, they may send you one for free. I just bought a 150 a couple of weeks ago and the remote wasn't working. I called Hauppauge and they sent me a new IR blaster for free b/c they figured that was the culprit.

They seem to be good that way. Let's just hope it's not the connector on the card that is broken...

It works fine with the usb-uirt... but it's not that cheap... on the other hand, you'd get a blaster for when you will want that Smile
