Hello all I have been searching th forums and I cannot find any info on how to install the V-Box 150. It works with beyond tv, and gbpvr works wiht my hauppauge 150, but when i try to add a new capture source the vbox is not there, all i have done so far is plug in the vbox, install the drivers off the cd, and install beyond tv.
thanks

What type of device is it? ATSC or DVB-T?

I dont think there is currently a definition for this V-Box 150 ATSC device. It'll probably work fine with GB-PVR, but will need a new definition added to the bda.ini file with the appropriate names for this device. I'm happy to help you work through this if needed.

There are also some on going changes in the ATSC area, so its recommended your read: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post141733 and apply the patches from http://www.gbpvr.com/atsc-scan4.zip.

[V-Box Cat's Eye 150 (ATSC)]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=VBox TV Tuner (DTF8600 - ATSC)
FILTER_CAPTURE=VBox Bic951 Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

1) Add that section to that section to the bda.ini file in the GB-PVR directory (c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr)

2) Start the config app

3) 'Add' a capture source

4) Set the recording source to 'BDA Recording Plugin', then click the setting button next to it.

5) tick the 'only show devices detected in this machine' checkbox.

6) click the ok button to return to the capture source settings

7) set the EPG source to zap2it and enter your zap2it username/password (if you dont already have one, visit http://labs.zap2it.com and create a free account using the certificate code 'DCZM-DENI-BUTV')

8) click the 'update EPG' button and wait for it to pull in your listings

9) click the 'map digital channels to EPG channels' button. It'll now scan for channels. Wait for this to complete. As it finds channels, they'll be listed in the preview list at the right of the screen. At the end of the scan, the list of channels supplied by zap2it will be shown on the left.

10) for each zap2it channnel listed, click the third column (tuning request), and select the ATSC channel it matches.

11) hit OK a few times to exit the config app and you're done...

What version of GB-PVR do you have installed? You need to be running the current v0.98.8 release.

Remember to reapply those patches after installing the newest version.
