Which dongle.bin is being used

Now that you have apparently stopped development of your own dongle.bin (i.e. GBPMVP.bin) does GBPVR 0.98.08 use the Hauppauge dongle.bin from mediamvp_3.2.24206.exe or from another beta release?

Is there a public file archive of older dongle.bin s somewhere on gbpvr.com to try if one is having problems with the dongle in the current release?

This might be a useful resource since it is a pain to have to install the Hauppauge's software just to get at a dongle.bin.

Does anyone else have a public archive of dongle.bin s if there is no such archive ongbpvr gbpvr.com?

The included dongle is v1.1.47.0. It has not yet been included with a publically available version of the Hauppauge MVP software, so I couldnt tell you the version number of that software.

No there isnt. I only provide the version of dongle.bin that is included with the release.

I prefer people to use the version of dongle.bin that comes with the GB-PVR (unless they have serious issues). Using other versions just makes more variables, and more complications for support - I'm not that keen to encourage this by making different versions of dongle.bin available on my site.

I can certainly empathize with that. More configuration variables are a real pain.

Just ask Hauppauge about their many PVR cards running against a big universe of motherboards!
