mvp skips too far ahead during show play

I recently bought a media mvp. i have been using gbpvr for about a year with the computer hooked directly up to the tv with no problem with comskip with no problems. when i am watching shows on the mvp it will not skip commercials as the computer to the tv does. when i do use the skip keys that i have set to 30sec. and 1min. it will skip 30 minutes at a time. i can't seem to find anything to adjust this for the mvp. Please help.

If you are recording with a PVR150 (or PVR500), then its probably the common PVR150 timestamp bug: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=14006
