I was just wondering how to get the name episode plugin working. I have tried almost every other HTPC frontend out there and after meedio died I think that GB PVR offers me everything I need, with the exception of naming episodes on the actual file. Does anyone know if this is something that will be incorporated in the actual program in the future? Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I tried setting that up a while ago and was never able to get it working. Now the link will not let me download it. I think I'm confused on which post processing bat to download also. I tried installing one and typing in what the addepisode help page said, but I coould not get it working. Should it name the episode right when the recording starts or after. Thanks for the help.

Ah - I think there is a problem with the webserver at the moment - You should find it attached

Unzip the files into your 'c:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\' directory (or wherever you installed gbpvr).

Then open PostProcessing.bat (in the same directory), if it doesn't exist create it. (Just create a new text document called 'PostProcessing.bat' - make sure it doesn't have a '.txt' extention.

In this file enter 'addepisode %1' (don't include the quotes)

Save the file and you should be good to go

Please note: I don't think this is the latest version, so once you confirm you've got it, I'll remove it from the boards

UPDATE: Attachment removed

Thanks for the help I got the download, but I'm still having problems getting it working. Should it immediately name the file when it starts recording. I tried to create a postprocessing bat file and had some problems so I download one of the wiki and deleted everything and saved it with addepisode &1. For some reason it does not work. I hate to ask anyone to go out of there way here, but if it is really simple and I'm just missing something, could some one create a postprocessing bat file that will work for me that I can just download. I really appreciate your help and hate to ask for more, but like I said earlier this program seems to be the solution to all my HTPC needs if I can get it to name the episodes I have recorded. Thanks again

First I tried addepisode %1 then I tried addepisode%1 and both seem to do nothing. Should it work immediately, at the time the recording starts. I can't figure out what I'm missing here. Thanks for the help.

try this...

right click on the desktop, and go to 'new' and then select 'text document'.

type in the following line exactly

addepisode %1

and then go to the file menu, and to 'save as'. for a filename, type in 'postprocessing.bat' without the quotes, also, you need to change the save as type to 'all files', and then hit save. congrats, you have just made a batch file. now you can put the batch file in the gbpvr directory. you also need to make sure you put the files addepisode.exe and sqlite3 in your gbpvr directory as well.

postprocessing.bat will run automatically after a recording is finished, so your file will be renamed after the recording is finished. sometimes, this is not instantaneous, but it may take up to a minute or two for it to happen.

Thanks for the help, I have had a postprocessing.bat file in the directory just like that and it had not worked, but I just realized that this was a result of my impatience. It was delayed by a few minutes after the recording was completed. It is now working perfectly. Thank you all very much for the help.
