In config section I DO have the "Don't record duplicates option" checked but I am still getting show episodes downloaded multiple times.

What is the procedure for scheduling shows so I don't get duplicate episodes?

I am using CT TV Listings

GB-PVR uses the show identifiers supplied by CT TV Listings and Schedules Direct to perform its duplicate checking. Some time these dont supply good identifiers for all shows.

If you do an update EPG and see a new duplicate has been scheduled, then zip and attach the logs and details about what duplicate has been created, then I'll take a look and tell you why it has been scheduled.

Also, the duplicate checking only looks for duplicates with shows you currently have on disk, or have very recently deleted. It wont know if it was a duplicate of show you watch and deleted weeks ago. Some people are surprised by this.

How recently deleted, and where is that data stored...?

There is the table in the database. I'm not in front of my development PC so cant tell you the name at the moment.

From memory the default is 30 days. There is a setting in config.xml that specifies how many days it retains.

THank you. I may bump you on this when you can look for sure, although your memory is pretty good.

Anyway, I'm looking at building a function that will do that but for countries that do not get Unique Episode IDs...

You can insert this data in a field in the XMLTV file called <unique-identifier>. As with zap2it, SchedulesDirect & CT TV Listing, if the last four digits are 0000, then its assumed the episode information is unknown. Any other matches are considered a duplicate.

That's good stuff. And I just know where to put that info...
