When I finally got v0.98.08 set up yesterday and my channels working, I've been having an odd problem. While watching LiveTV, around every 42 minutes (give or take a couple of seconds, I timed it several times), GBPVR exits without any visible error message.

Looking through the logs I've found this error:

08/10/2006 16:31:09.038 ERROR [1] System.ArgumentException: Parameter is not valid.
at System.Drawing.Bitmap..ctor(Int32 width, Int32 height, PixelFormat format)

at System.Windows.Forms.ThreadExceptionDialog..ctor(Exception t)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.OnThreadException(Exception t)
at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.OnThreadException(Exception e)
at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam)
at System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.DispatchMessageW(MSG& msg)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ComponentManager.System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IMsoComponentManager.FPushMessageLoop(Int32 dwComponentID, Int32 reason, Int32 pvLoopData)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoopInner(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.ThreadContext.RunMessageLoop(Int32 reason, ApplicationContext context)
at System.Windows.Forms.Application.Run(Form mainForm)
at GBPVR.xbb1566157f5f8b1f.xfb409e85bd292293(String[] xf18a926310372520)

And a couple WARNING lines like this:
08/10/2006 16:28:31.339 WARNING [1] continuity_counter not correct, begin PES search again. Expected 11 got 14

Any ideas? thanks

Just bumping my own message.

Still having the same issue. GB PVR exits roughly every 42minutes, I've tried restarting the PC a few times and its still happening. Anyone have any idea of what above error/warning may mean?

Try setting <BDAEnableDvbSubtitles>false</BDAEnableDvbSubtitles> in config.xml. It might help.

Thanks for the reply.

I changed <BDAEnableDvbSubtitles> to false last night but I'm still getting the same error after around 42minutes.

On a plus side, setting the BDAEnableDvbSubtitles to false seems to have gotten rid of my the subtitles problem (kept showing up even when turned off via remote, or through Config).

Sorry, I dont know. I've not heard of any other users with this problem, and the error message above doesnt give any clues.

Add one to the list of people with this problem then - because I've seen something like this too. Didn't time it, but it happened 3 times while I was watching live TV for about 2.5hrs. I've already got the DVD subtitles setting set - you advised me to set that to cure a .NET error I was getting while watching live TV in another thread (which worked fine BTW - not seen it since).

Post you're logs next time it occurs so we can see if its actually the same error (ie, logs have the 'Parameter is not valid' Bitmap error as listed above). Other things can cause GB-PVR to exit, so may not be the same thing.

It might relate to the problem discussed in this thread: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=19068. We wont know for sure until the next release though.

The actual log files are heaouge, full of lines like:

Code:
14/10/2006 23:11:07.589    VERBOSE    [1]    No DVB Subtitle stream data available

(And yes, I do have subtitles off in the config file).

The log info relevant to the crash appears to be this:

In each case I'd been watching TV for 42 minutes, confirmed from the timestamps in the log file. The 3rd log is from a different channel (the first two are the same channel).
