Sub, Meant to point this out a week or so ago.

About a week ago, I was perusing config.xml and I noticed the following section and entries,

<!-- zoom control -->
<HorizontalZoom>1.05</HorizontalZoom>
<HorizontalOffset>0</HorizontalOffset>
<VerticalZoom>1.03</VerticalZoom>
<VerticalOffset>0</VerticalOffset>

It dawned on me a day or two later that when viewing recorded video on my MVP since upgrading to 98.8b that the picture visually seemed a bit wide... even to the point of cropping things along the left/right screen margins.

I remembered seeing the horizontal and vertical zoom settings I saw in config.xml and thought aha... I wonder if that's why things are a bit wide now?

I proceeded to change both horz & vert to 1.00 and viola' my screen is now good again.

I've not changed these zoom settings (that I'm aware of?) and in fact they are set that way in config-master.dont-edit-me.xml file as well, so I know I didn't change them.

Anyhow, if other folks are having troubles with streched/distorted video, they may want to look in that section of config.xml and set them both back to 1.00. As always before making any changes to config.xml, make a backup of it to return to in case it gets messed up.

Its intentional. Its a very small amount, but just enough to hide the garbage thats normal at the sides of the picture with analog TV.

I've used these defaults with GB-PVR for the last two years.
