I have an early Hauppauge PCI Nova-t installed in my PC box. This runs with the original Hauppauge application and driver S/W.

Downloaded and installed the GBPVR software OK. The GBPVR software cannot detect the Nove-t PCI card , viz in config utility->Create Capture Source->Recording Source->settings my card is not an option. I noticed on the Home page it mentions support for the Nova-t with BDA drivers. Presumably the original Hauppauge drivers are not BDA compliant (whatever that is). Could this be the source of the problem, and if so can somebody provide a URL when I can obtain suitable drivers.

Yes, that is the problem.

Sorry, I dont know the URL, but these drivers exist. I'd think they'd be on the Hauppauge UK website, but its possible they're the Technotrend Budget drivers on the http://www.technotrend.de website, since this device was a rebranded one of these.

There are two chip sets associated with the Nova-t, unfortunately my card has the older chip set which don't appear to work with the techo-trend driver.

Does your one have the grundig or philips tuner? as I beleive the technotrend driver supports both. Well an older BDA driver did, I might still have it. I will check when I get home.

My ancient Nova-T (the original series, referred to as a '909' by GBPVR) installed quite happily with the Technotrend Budget BDA driver - but I had to remove the Hauppauge driver quite thoroughly first. (I haven't been able to make the remote control work afterwards though).
