I have automatic comskip turned on. When comskip marks the last part of the recording as being a comercial (say the last 5 minutes), then gbpvr acts funny.
First of all, it does not mark that part as being a commercial in the timeline (the other parts get marked ok).
Second, it skips the last part of the recording (which is ok behavior), but there is no way for me to watch that last part (except in another player Wink) If I try to skip into the commercial-marked part of the recording, gbpvr just kicks back to the menu.

No biggy, but got me baffled the first couple of times...

I've had this happen too, I just turned off auto-skip for now. I was thinking it was comskip itself, but haven't had time to look into it.

I think comskip is doing its job... at least from what I can read out of its txt-files it looks ok. But I'm no comskip expert Smile

Yeah no kidding. It's a complex program that I haven't had time to delve into and tweak it. That's why I figured it was just something with comskip and it was easy to get around by turning off auto-skip. Guess I was wrong.

Sub any ideas?

I've not noticed this problem myself, but I'm using a pretty old version of comskip. Have you actually taken a look at the points listed in comskip file and compared to the video?

I seem to remember there was some option in the comskip file to make the last section as an commercial. Could this be what is happening here?

Ah I do remember something about that myself. Will check that out when I get home.

I seem to remember sub mentioning the next release will have an "on/off" switch for auto comskip. If so, I wonder if the switch will be in the config or in the ui, so you could see those ending portions that sometimes get skipped?
What, me worry?

I've added a keystoke which toggles it on/off during playback.

Nice! A keystroke that could be mapped to the MVP remote?

its actually toggled on/off by typing '999', so yes this works on the MVP.
