Sub,

Using 98.13 with the MCE 2a remote (no color buttons) and now skip doesn't work. The FF/REW buttons work for going back and forth 10 seconds, but the Skip to go forward 1 minute doesn't work anymore. Anything change in this area? I did a quick look at the log files (REALLY quick considering it was at 2am) and I noticed some messages about saying mapping not found for MEDIANEXTTRACK, but nothing that stood out saying hey heres the error.

Also, since the skip didn't work, we used the FF button to try to go to the end of the video file (talk about a long process at 10 seconds each press), and found if you press too quickly or hold it down, GBPVR locks up solid, I had to end task in task manager.

Unfortunately I think you're correct. Please try the attached patch and let me know how you get on.

It works with my Hauppauge remote, I guess this is MCE specific.
GBPVR System:
XP Pro SP2, AMD XP1800+, 512MB DDR, NVidia 6200 AGP (1.90.62 drivers), PVR-150 (2.0.43.24108 drivers), nVidia Purevideo Mpeg2 codec, PVRX2 1.4.7

Just wanted to let you know, it works great. Skipping is back and the wife is definitely happy. She says THANK YOU! hehe

The patch doesn't seem to help me.
Skip still doesn't work neither in Music Library nor in My Music. When I press it in Music Library it works like PgDn - the cursor just moves in the file list.
I have to handle these buttons using HIP by posting SKIP action to GBPVR when Skip/Rewind buttons are pressed on the remote.
How can I confirm if it actually works or not? Is there any utility like ShowKey.exe, which shows remote button presses detected?

BTW, my remote is from PVR-150 MCE kit - like this one, but with Teletext buttons.

Alpax,

I believe the patch was for Microsoft MCE Remotes only, not the Hauppauge ones which weren't affected. The problem was also in video playback, when you press skip it advances 60 seconds, this was not working before the patch.

If I remember correctly, the next track/prev track only works when you are on the main menu (I could be wrong, searching would probably turn something up).

That's exactly what I have! Mine is the last one on this page (but, as I mentioned - with Teletext buttons).

Well, this does work for me with the latest EXE, but skipping in the Music Library and in plugins still doesn't work.

Oh, by the way, I've just found a note about my remote on that MCERemotes page: "Limited support in GB-PVR. Requires HIP or Girder to use extra buttons".
Maybe that's the reason?
sub, what exactly is limited for this kind of remote?
