Remote loses functionality after restart

I'm using HIP to get my remote to control GB. I followed the instructions in the wiki to set up Hip, and it works perfectly (all the buttons were doing what they were supposed to).
However, After rebooting my computer many of the buttons stop working. (so I have to go into hip and reprogram all of them... Which is a pain)... I only restart the computer once a week or so, but having to reprogram it is just annoying...
The buttons that stop working are the Channel buttons, all 4 of the livetv, guide, etc., more info, track+, track-, green start button.

I have a hauppauge 150MCE, came with this MCE remote (from Newegg). Running XP-Pro, AMD64 2800+, 1GB-pc3200, 2-250GB HDs, ATI 9600PROse 256mb.

This sounds more like a HIP bug than a GB-PVR. HIP just sends fake keyboard keypresses to GB-PVR, and I assume keyboard is still working in GB-PVR? If so then its something breaking down at the HIP end of things.

Yes the keyboard still works fine (except that I have almost no access to it).

I'll play around with Hip more and see if I can get it to do something... But I've tried reinstalling it, and always make sure it has my profile loaded and whatnot..
