Hi, recently I started to use gbpvr to record my shows in the background and all was fine until my pvr started acting up. when I would open gbpvr, the pvr would start skipping and stuttering the picture would do this and I wasn't able to get a picture from the proram that came with my pvr. It gave me some error message so I decided to reinstall the drivers and applications. Unfortuneatly, I have misplaced the CD it came with and had to download the drivers and applications from this web site http://www.shspvr.com. After downoad and installing the drivers and apps, everything was fine again but that is when the recording qualities problem started no matter what quality i choose, it seems to be recording in 720x480 @6000kbps. I used to be able to set my recording qualty in the recording options when I went to click a program I wanted to record and it would record in the quality I choose which is low quality but now when I choose low quality, it will not record in low quality. It will record in the quality it wants to record in. The reason I want to record in the low quality is that so I can fit an x amount of video on the dvd without having to recompres which will take up more time than is nessesary to make a dvd. I have a Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2 (although after reinstalling the drivers and apps, it reads as Haupauge WinTV PVR2 USB2 in the device manager. I even tried changing the quality of live tv to match the quality I want to record in but stil s a no og. Anyone experience this odd problem? Thanks.

Try editing direct.ini and setting the [Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2] section to have INIT_MODE=IVAC.

Good.

Another user pointed this out about a week ago. I've fixed the master file to reflect this.
