Configuring Haupauge HVR-1300

Hi,

I've just bought a Haupauge HVR-1300 TV-card, this all works fine with the s/w supplied, but i'm looking for a better interface hence i want to use gbpvr. Unfortunatley i'm having trouble setting up GBPVR with this card, i've had a look around the forums but cannot find a definitive guide to setting this up. Can anyone offer help.

Very few people own this card, so I doubt you'll find a definitve guide anywhere. There is a log of into on the wiki about GB-PVR: http://www.gbpvr.com/pmwiki.

In general for this device, you'll need to create two capture sources. One for the analog side, using the 'direct recording plugin'. One for the digital side, using the 'BDA recording plugin'. Obviously if you're only interested in one side of it (analog/digital), you can just create the one capture source.

i've done a bit more tinkering with my setup, and using the BDA Recording Plugin can scan and recieve channels. The difficulty now seems to be playback when GBPVR is running, i get stuttering sound and no picture. I'm nearly there i think just need to get picture and sound

This is most likely related to the audio/video decoders you're using. If you post your gbpvr.exe-native.log, I'll take a look.

There is nothing obvious in the logs. Try some different combinations of audio/video decoder, and also try switching video renderer to see if it helps.
