Hi. This is my first post here so please bare with me.

I just downloaded GB-PVR, latest version 1.4.7 in W7n followed the pdf from the Wiki guide to configure my capture card. (thanks whurlston/systemshark) and subscribed to Schedules Direct and downloaded and mapped channels.

I have a Hauppaugge WinTV HVR-1850 (HVR-1800).

I can play net radio, watch video from my pc but when I click "Live TV" nothing happens.

I tried to follow the Wiki on "Playback" to make sure my HVR-1850 was configured but the screenshot from the wiki does not match my playback video - guessing its because the screenshot is from an older version. In the place where you select "Hardware Decoder Device" I have "Video Renderer" - What am I doing wrong?

Can you reproduce the problem, then post the pvrx2.exe.log and pvrx2.exe-native.log files?

The problem occurs all the time. I am trying to get "Live TV" configured properly with my card. Clicking "Live TV" does nothing.

I am using ATI's 550 Theater Pro with GB-PVR's software and when I click Live TV, it will flash for a second as if it is about to load, then it stays on the menu. I've tried many settings and nothing has changed.

I posted a .rar of all the logs you requested.

Also, I am not attempting to use the cable input on the my card. I have a cable that connects to the card and gives me S-Video and A/V inputs on the other end. I have it set up right now so that it is using Composite as a source, but that does not seem to help.

Thank you!!

It looks like you havnt set up a capture source with channels. Without channels, there is nothing to watch when you click the live tv button.
Quote:2010-02-19 12:32:41.352 VERBOSE [1] GBPVR.Backend.Common.GbpvrException: No channels have been set up. Please run the Configuration utility and setup the EPG source. Use the 'Update EPG' button to force the system to import the latest set of channel and programme information.

Ok but I don't quite understand why I need to set up a channel if I'm not watching TV. I have my setup so that my Xbox is connected with an A/V cable. I would assume that is some sort of composite input.

When I go to set up a channel, it only gives me an option for channel numbers, not input sources like video 1, video 2, or component, etc.

Ok, so I set up channel number 1, and when I watch TV, now I get a bunch of static even though my Xbox is on and the TV shows that it is on... Somehow I feel like I'm not selecting the correct input source.

You'd still need to setup a channel for that. You'd have to create channel like "AV1" or "Composite" or something like that.

Be warned though, the delay between live game play and what you see on the screen will make it impractical to try gaming through GB-PVR.

If you're seeing snow, then you've created your capture source to use the tuner, instead of composite/svideo. Check the input source setting in your capture source.
