Just a quick question hopefully! When playing xvid files through GB-PVR they seem to be much darker than if I play them through MP10. Any idea why this might be? I've only got the xvid decoder installed so they must both be using that, and I've trying changing GB-PVR from overlay to VMR9 custom and back but doesn't seem to make a difference.

Any ideas what's causing this?

I cant think of any reason it'd be darker, assuming its using the same xvid decoder.

WMP is probably using Overlay, which if often brighter than any of the VMR options.

Hmm. I've just been playing about with this some more and GB-PVR is definitely much darker than WMP. Both are set to full screen, GB-PVR is set to overlay and using purevideo (plus the xvid codec I assume). Quite annoying as normal TV progs recorded are just fine.

Anyone else seen this behaviour for xvid files?

Well I've finally made some progress on this using graphedit (as recommended by various people on here). It has enabled me to alter the brightness levels for xvid files which seems to clear things up.
