GBPVR suddenly started using to 99% of my cpu power. I can't find think of anything I've done to my system lately (except upgraded firefox to 2.0 and rebooted my computer) that should/could cause this. I can't find anything in the logs either. Perhaps sub can see something weird in them? This happens everytime I restart gbpvr.exe, both with sassari and the default blue skin.

I haven't tried rebooting the machine as of yet, since I'm recording something...

If you temporarily set the remote type to something other than USB-UIRT, does the problem go away?

Is it the gbpvr.exe or the gbpvrrecordingservice.exe that starts chewing up the CPU?

Don't bother trying to update your USB-UIRT drivers, it doesn't help.

Recycleusbuirt entry in the config.xml file cut my 99% usage issue down from every 2-3 days to about once a week. Usually it is the recordingservice.exe file, but i've seen once or twice it'll be the gbpvr.exe file.

In my case it's the gbpvr.exe. I've never seen it before.

I did some more testing now. It seems weird. When I changed to hauppauge remote, gbpvr.exe didn't start up at 99%, but when I start watching live tv it does go up to 99% again. Nothing obvious in the logs this time either. I'll try a reboot...

Strike that for now... the first time after I rebooted it did the same exact thing, but now I can't reproduce it in any way, so... I'll wait and see.

Now onto that recycleUSBUirt setting Smile

Like so?
Code:
<RecycleUSBUIRT>true</RecycleUSBUIRT>
What's does it do? (Ok, I can guess it recycles the usb-uirt somehow, but...? Wink )
