inserting breakpoints/chapters into a large mpg file?

how do i insert breakpoints in mpg file so that i can forward/rewind? used wintv usb pvr2 to record 20 min clip. i can't move the location slider to jump between the beginning, to middle, to end of clip. any ideas?

I don't even know if it is possible to insert chapters in an mpeg, but you don't need to to skip around. If you are watching an mpeg using GB-PVR on your pc, you can use these keyboard commands:

If you are using an mvp, you can use the buttons on the remote.
