Hi guys

After half a year of GBPVR working flawlessly i suddenly get this message whenever i stop playback:

"Error: Attempt to write a read only database
attempt to write a read only database"

I can still play files from the server GBPVR but it cant seem to remember video position and sometimes get stuck. i will add that i switched a long time ago to the new database (.db3) if that help but im pretty sure it worked for a few good weeks after this.

thx alot in advance

I get the same error on my client when I am playing back my recordered shows but I thought that it was becasue I do not have write permission on my shared drive. I will do some messing around and see if I can figure out what might be causing it.

Yes, that'd be expected. You need to have read/write permissions on the share otherwise the client wont be able to schedule new recordings, update resume bookmarks, delete recordings etc.

Hey Sub is there some other way that I can make it so that the client will not be able to delete any of my recordings? This is the only reason so far that I do not want to change my privilages to read/write to the recording volume.

You have to change the permission on the drive or folder. Whe you right click on the drive/folder and click on the sharing tab you will have to check the share and also allow network users to change my files and that should do it. You have to have the share device checked since you can see the folder so all you have to do is check the allow other users to change files permission.
