I have one reoccurring scheduled ("ER"). Today, we were watching TV, and wanted to just watch it live (what was about to be recorded). So, we tuned to that station just before the program. At the time the recording started (about 22:00), the TV viewing just stopped and jumped back to previous screen (guide in this case).
This is the first problem, as it's a bit annoying - it could pop a similar screen to the "watch XXX / don't watch TV" instead of just "abruptly" exiting TV. Never mind.
So, now I want to just watch it. I tried from the "Pending" screen - this is where I usually do it. But it failed with an error (logs attached). However, this is not the problem I want to point out - so, I canceled this recording, and pressed "Live TV".
I got the famous popup but without the "Watch XXX" - just a single "Don't watch TV" option!!!

Even restarting the GUI didn't convince GBPVR that I can watch TV - remember - there's nothing being recorded now (or shouldn’t be). But now looking - I found there was a file in the recording folder (2.9GB, so I guess it's the whole hour long). But it does not appear under the Recordings screen.

This is the normal/expected behaviour. I will probably add something like this in a future release, but I'm happy enough with the current behaviour so it may not be any time soon.

Does the file play fine, or is it in someway corrupt? - which would explain why the other options wouldnt work for you.

Can you reproduce and attach a complete set of logs, including the recording service ones?

- Guide
- Select a running program
- Quick record
- Main menu
- Recordings
- Pending
- Select the "amber" one - saying "recording"
- Choose "play"

Error: Can not playback file.

But after I started to write this post, tried again and it does work (can still see the error in the logs though).

I'm fairly sure this patch will fix your problem: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=8 (ignore the description from that post).

tried, now did the quick record, and gbpvr got stuck. completely.
[EDIT] also tried to restart the GUI, the recording, although shows "red" in the guide, shows only as "pending" in the Pending section. Also, trying "cancel" from the guide, stuck the GUI again.
