GameZone 0.2 with My Programs support

Hi fellow GBPVR'ers,

I have noticed that Reven has stopped supporting (and supplying) his excellant "MySeries" plugins. To assist with peoples migration as GB-PVR goes forward I have added the Emulators part of My Programs to GameZone version 0.2.

How does this work?

Well if you have already got My Programs installed and configured then GameZone will read in the settings from the config.xml file and provide you with a way of running them.

It is my long term objective to add more emulators that have integrated functionality to GameZone but for the short term this assists mysef in mugrating fully to GameZone and I hope it will assist others too.

I have finished the new beta with ePSXe, Mame32, Zinc and My Programs I will let my kids test it for the next few days to see if they can find any bugs and then I will add the automatic install wrapper as per GameZone 0.1

Yeah, really a good idea. One question: Do i need to have myprograms installed? It looks like, reven don't provide the BETA1 (.NET 2 compatible) no longer :-(

Hi,

If the My Programs settings are still in the config.xml file from a previous installation of My Programs, then GameZone picks these settings up and runs with them.

If My Program settings are not in the config.xml file i.e. a fresh GBPVR install or the install has never had My Programs then only the natively supported Emulators will be available.
With GameZone version 0.2 the emulators supported directly are:

ePSXe for Playstation
Mame32 fort Arcade
and Zinc for Arcade games based on Playstation Hardware.

Look in the community forum for a poll I am running to see which emulator GameZone should support next.

Does this app include USB controller support?

Most emulators support Direct X and therefore USB adaptors /controllers.

GameZone currently leaves it to user to configure the Emulator. I am working on GameZone providing a centralised configuration for all direct X aware controllers but that feature is not available yet.
