I'm not sure this is the right place to post this but as http://www.birtles.org.uk/xmltv/wiki/ seems to be down I'm struggling to find anywhere else that discuss loading EPG info usable by GBPVR.

Anyway, the Bleb download is totally broken - has anyone else experienced this? I used to use the Radio Times import into XMLTV GUI (V3.07.00W) until that stopped working before Xmas. (And Bleb doesn't do ITV channels anyway).

18:20:26 - ...:\Program Files\XMLTV GUI\scripts/uk_bleb/ukbleb.lua:48: invalid option to `format'
18:20:26 - Grab failed on channel "bbc1"
18:20:26 - Finished pass 1 of grabber UK_Bleb
Error downloading listings: Access violation at address 10006181 in module 'lua50.dll'. Read of address 0000007B

Is there any other tool out there that will get me UK TV listings in a format that can be displayed in GBPVR EPG. I'm at a loss to find anything right now, so GBPVR is dead as a Freeview PVR as it stands.

:-(

Yeah, a couple of people have mentioned this recently. I'm going to remove it as an option in the next release.

I dont think its worth panicing. I'm sure it'll just be short outage and will his site be back in no time.

Alternative you can try using the DVB EPG option.

It looks like it might be for 'planned maintenance' or similar - the root page has an Apache test message. I've emailed Alan in case it's something more fatal.

I use XMLTV GUI with the UK_RT and UK_BLEB grabbers. The Bleb side is only for a couple of radio channel listings. The RT grabber pulls all my TV stuff (15 channels or thereabouts). I haven't noticed any problems with the RT side of things for quite some time. There was an issue with v3.06 of the program which wasn't properly handling some corrupt data in the Five Life and Five US listings. This was fixed with v3.07.

I can't think of any better grabber to use - just stay away from Bleb unless you want radio channel listings.

Cheers,
Brian

I agree. I'm currently grabbing 67 channels of analogue, Sky and freeview using xmltv and the Radio Times listings. Currently limiting myself to 7 days. Works a treat and extremely reliable.

Noticed that all right about the site, mine is still updating but it took 2 attempts last time, thats how I noticed the site was down as I went looking for an update.

I'm using TVXB to get some of the Irish listings that RT doesn't have and letting the GUI merge them for PVR.

Panic over now, I rebooted, flipped back to Radio Times and XMLTV is working again now with RT listings. Hopefully it will stay working.

Yes, my midnight update failed and it is still giving the 404 errors now.
I hope it is a temporary thing and they're not withdrawing the service.

Edit: I see also mention on Alan Birtles forum http://www.birtles.org.uk/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=178

It looks like the whole http://www.radiotimes.com site is down.

Such things are usually server/link failures that get quickly fixed...lets hope so.

I had to restore from backup (wow - it almost worked, Ghost wouldn't restore yesterdays, but did the days before Sad ) I'm OK until Sunday  I may make you an offer for your data:p

I'll remember to stop my scheduled task downloading an empty XML file again tonight though!
