I have the TV setup as a second monitor (S-video)
problem:
a) app freezes when you drag from one screen to the other.
b) time shift mode does not work (when you hit pause) when on the secondary monitor. you hit pause, it will then just sit there. the only way to 'unfreeze' it is to change the channel.

logs are from problem A.

Are you using them as 2 independent displays or just a mirror of each other? It sounds like you've set them to be independent, if that's correct try to set your TV as the primary display and see if that makes any difference.

I had this type of problem several years ago with my old NVidia 4600 and the drivers at that time. I could only play videos on the primary monitor unless I used NVidia's codec's. I personally don't use them now but alot of people here do seem to recommend them still. Maybe try to get theirs, I hear they do have a free trial.

Of course this is assuming it's an NVidia card.

I also use dual monitor and live TV (and playing a recording whilst it is still recording) just freezes for me on the 2nd monitor (15"), but alls OK on the primary (20")

Its an ATI video card (Radeon X1650).
I'm also on 0.99.5
Have to close GBPVR to unfreeze
Sad

This is somewhat annoying as I just purchased the 2nd monitor yesterday for just this purpose

Smile changing to overlay playback mode fixed this for me.

Note that the problem for me was playing anything that was still recording on the 2ndary monitor.

It still fails when moving a playing and recording video from primary monitor to seconday. But If I start to play the still recording video on the secojndary monitor then it seems to work OK.
