Dual TV Tuners Setup Help

I've just installed an ATI TV Wonder 650 and I've been using an ATI 550 Pro. I want to use the 650 for HDTV and the 550 for Cable. So far I can only get the the 650 to work.

Any suggestions on how to get both Tuners setup?

What capture sources did you setup, and what device numbers did you select for each of them?

Some users with multiple ATI 550's have had to end up setting <AutoDetectEncoderMethod>0</AutoDetectEncoderMethod> in config.xml to get them both working. This may apply to your mixed 650/550 setup aswell.

I selected BDA Recording Plugin with ATI 650 PRO (ATSC) as the device type and 1 for the device number for the TV Wonder 650.

I selected ATI Theatre 550 Pro and device 2 using the Direct Recording plugin for the other card.

HD works fine under these settings but if I try to watch any stations I just get an image from the 650 card and no sound, I also cannot change channels.

Ok. Did you try the AutoDetectEncoderMethod setting I mentioned?

Its in the config.xml file. Just use notepad to edit it.

Still no luck, but it no longer is showing an image from the other tuner.

reproduce the problem, then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

As I understand it (i.e. poorly), you only need to change "device number" when you have two identical devices.

Have you tried with "device number" set to "1" for both cards?
